Technology Should Feel Useful, Not Overwhelming
Trusted US Guide publishes clear, practical guidance to help everyday users and small-business owners understand AI tools, software and digital skills, without unnecessary technical jargon.
Helping You Make Better-Informed Digital Choices
New technology arrives quickly. Our role is to slow the decision down, explain what matters and show the practical differences between your options.
Clear guidance. Practical context. Better-informed decisions.
Practical Guidance for Everyday Technology
Technology now shapes how we work, communicate, run a business, protect our information and learn new skills. Yet choosing the right digital tool is often harder than it should be. Product pages are technical, features are hard to compare and new AI services appear every week.
Trusted US Guide was created to make those decisions easier. We focus on practical questions: what a tool does, who it is useful for, where its limitations matter and what to consider before using or paying for it. You should not need a technical background to understand the technology you rely on.
Understand the Question
We start with the problem you are trying to solve, not with technical specifications.
Explain What Matters
We focus on the features, differences, costs and limitations most likely to affect your decision.
Leave the Decision With You
We give you clear information and useful context so you can make your own informed choice.
Written by Someone Who Uses These Tools Every Day
Trusted US Guide is published by Eliel Leal, a retired engineer with a background in mechanical engineering, law and business. Eliel runs Trusted US Guide through his publishing business, Eliel Leal Digital Publishing, based in Perth, Australia, and writes for readers in the United States.
That background shapes how the guides are written. An engineer’s habit of breaking problems into clear steps, a legal training that pays attention to terms, conditions and fine print, and practical business experience of what tools actually cost all show up in the way we explain technology.
Eliel also runs several websites of his own, which means hands-on, day-to-day experience with web hosting, WordPress, business email, password security and AI tools. Where a guide draws on that first-hand experience, we say so, and we keep it separate from claims that can be independently checked.
Why it matters: the guides on this site are written from the point of view of someone who has had to choose, pay for and live with these tools, not just describe them.
How We Approach Digital Guidance
Our goal is never to make technology sound more complicated than it is. These principles guide everything we publish.
Explain First, Jargon Second
We favor straightforward explanations and define technical terms only when they are genuinely useful.
Start With the Real Task
We look at technology through the job you need done, whether that is building a website, writing an email or securing your accounts.
Strengths Are Only Half the Story
We explain costs, renewal prices, restrictions and privacy trade-offs, and we say when a free or simpler option is good enough.
Kept Current, Corrected Openly
Technology changes fast. We review and update our guides, and if a reader points out an error, we check it and correct it.
How Trusted US Guide Is Funded
Trusted US Guide is free to read. Some guides contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy a product or service through them, at no extra cost to you. These commissions help pay for research, writing and running the site.
Affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend. We include free and built-in options when they are good enough, we explain the downsides of products we mention, and we do not accept payment for positive reviews. You can read the details in our Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy.
